Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This is the place where you come to learn the secrets of the ages.  Well, something like that.

Why don't your tables have prices?

Basically, we make tables to order.  Each piece of furniture is handcrafted to the customer's expectations.  Contact us today to discuss your building goals, and we will get you a price quote if you want one, or just chat about historical wood if you'd rather. 😉

Do you ship your furniture, or is it local pick up only?

Yes, we will deliver your furniture for a modest handling cost, or you may pick up locally.  Contact us for shipping and delivery information.

What if I don't know what I want?

No problem!  Take a look at our portfolio gallery at some of the pieces we have done in the past.  Give us a shout and see if we can make your vision a reality. 🙂

Where does my wood come from?

Mostly we use reclaimed cabins, barns, and grain bins from the 1800s and previously. This wood was hand-milled, and the detail and hand-cut saw marks are not reproducible in modern day reproductions.  So just think-- your table could have once been a resting place for Revolutionary War soldiers in the 1700s, or a hiding place for escaped slaves during the Civil War.  And it was most likely standing virgin timber when Columbus first set foot on American soil.  Pretty awesome.

I'm afraid to order a table without seeing it first.

That's a valid concern.  We will work with the buyer to make sure you love your finished piece.  If for any reason you don't like the finished product, just let us know, and we will make it right.
